Meet the Team

Teresa Karam, Owner | Founder
After years of working across diverse industries and travelling extensively, Teresa followed a long-held passion and completed her massage therapy qualifications in London in 2004. A lifelong lover of sport and the outdoors, she found remedial massage to be a natural fit. With a personal background in sports, weight training, CrossFit and yoga, Teresa brings a deep understanding of the musculoskeletal challenges active people often face. Following two decades of hands-on experience, Teresa has now transitioned away from massage therapy and is currently studying a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Building on her established dry needling practice, she is excited to broaden her clinical offerings and become a qualified acupuncturist. During this transition, Teresa provides dry needling sessions that may include traditional techniques such as cupping and Gua Sha (scraping), with treatments tailored to each client’s individual needs—often with excellent results for pain, stiffness and recovery. Teresa is passionate about holistic health and wellbeing. She believes in the power of mindful living, nutritious food, strength, and regular movement to support a vibrant and balanced life. A career highlight has been working with some of New Zealand’s top sports teams, including the Black Caps, All Blacks, NZ Warriors, Silver Ferns, All Black Sevens and the BOP Steamers.

Simone Andrews, Massage Therapist
Kia ora! My name is Simone and I am in my second career, bringing nearly two decades of experience in education into the field of massage therapy. I lead relationally, communicate clearly, and work from a foundation of trust, accountability, and long term wellbeing. Sport and fitness have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Having grown up playing a wide range of sports and continuing to train consistently myself, I understand both the culture of sport and the physical demands placed on athletes. That lived experience sits alongside my clinical training and informs how I work. My practice is shaped by both lived resilience and formal study. With a strong interest in injury prevention and holistic player welfare, I combine clinical skill with a deep understanding of how physical, mental, and situational stressors intersect in the body.
Qualifications: - Massage Diploma, Toi Ohomai
